Coventry Herald: Friday 19th June 1896

A Disclaimer: Messrs. Smith, Pinsent, and Co., Birmingham, write to say that, as solicitors acting on behalf of Mr. Arthur Chamberlain and the members his family, their attention has been called to the prospectus of the New Beeston Cycle Company (Limited).” It is there stated that Messrs. Smith’s clients are shareholders in the Quinton Cycle Company (Limited), which is being bought by the New Beeston Company. This statement is correct, but these gentlemen, whose names are mentioned in the New Beeston prospectus, “neither have, nor intend to have, any interest in the new company, and the use of their names in this company’s prospectus is without their knowledge or approval.”
