Edmund Henry Knowles, Deceased: Pursuant to the Statute 22 and 23 Vict. Cap 35, Notice is hereby given that all Persons having any claim against the estate of Edmund Henry Knowles, late of Chester Road, Erdington, in the county of Warwick, gentleman (who died on the 27th day of May 1887 and to whose estate Letters of Administration were granted by the Birmingham District Register of her Majesty’s High Court of Justice on the 1st day of August 1896 to Richard Alfred Pinsent, Alfred Henry Evans and Thomas Mercer), are hereby required to send written particulars of such claims to the undersigned, solicitors for the said Administrators of the Deceased, on or before the 31st day of December 1895, after which date the said Administrators will distribute the Assets of the Deceased, having regard only to the claims of which they shall then have received notice: Dated the 12th day of November 1895: Smith, Pinsent and Co., 39, Waterloo Street, Birmingham, Solicitors for the said Administrators: … …

The Robberies in the Cycle Trade: Following the arrest of the two men, Gays, and Hutchens, who were on Thursday remanded charged with stealing a large quantify of cycle parts and fittings belonging to Messrs. Alldays and Onions, the police have made further investigations leading to the apprehension of two other cycle workers …  (description of case) … On the application of Mr. Freeman, Smith, Pinsent, and Co., who appeared for the prosecution, Stokes and Walters were remanded until Wednesday next, when Gays and Hutchen will also be placed in the dock.

Stratford upon Avon Herald: Friday 23rd August 1895

Henley Matters: A long discussion took place on various matters connected with the schemes at Henley in Arden. The Clerk read a letter from Smith, Pinsent, and Co., with reference to the clause in Dr. Agar’s agreement with the Authority, under which the latter are liable to a payment of £200 a year, to be reduced to £80 on the completion of certain works at Henley. The Clerk had been instructed to write and ask for this clause to be removed, but in reply, Messrs. Smith Pinsent, and Co., pointed out that it was not suggested that the terms on which the alteration was to be made had been fulfilled. As it was necessary for Dr. Agar to be protected, they thought the clause might as well stand. …
