DAWLISH: A meeting of creditors of Frederick Stokes, innkeeper, of this town, was held Saturday at the offices of Mr. T. Andrew, Bedford Circus, Exeter: Mr. Pinsent, of Newton Abbot, was voted to the chair. The debtor’s statement of affairs showed that he owed to unsecured creditors £198 16s 1d, and the assets consisted of stock-in-trade, £1; book debts, £34 19s; and the furniture, £26 — total assets, £61 19s. Proofs were put in the extent of £112 19s 6d. The creditors resolved on liquidation by arrangement, with Mr. T. Andrew, of Exeter, trustee. No committee of inspection was appointed. Messrs. Pearson and Whidborne, solicitors of this town, were entrusted with the registration of the special resolution.
