At Ashburton Petty Sessions yesterday, before Messrs. F. H. Firth (chairman) and R. F. S. Amery: John Kemble, a private in the Devon Regiment was fined 40s and 10s 6d costs for an assault on P.S. Nott: Joseph Kemble, painter, brother of the last defendant, was mulcted in 10s inclusive of costs, for drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
