Newton College v Exeter Grammar School (Past and Present):  A one-sided match was witnessed on the Newton ground on Saturday. The school had the assistance of four old boys, but was outclassed in every department. At halftime, four goals and three tries had been recorded by the College, and at the call of time six goals and eight tries. O’Neill and Windsor were responsible for the majority of the tries. The goal kicking was not so good as it might have been, most of the places being easy ones. Teams: College: Pinsent (back), Windsor, Templer and Stork (3/4s); Hammond and Light (1/2s); O’Neill (captain), Wallen, Currie, Owen-Jones, Butland, Villiers-Stuart, Lovett, M. and B.
