Rendell of the firm of Rendell and Symons, held an auction at the Commercial Inn, Highweek Street, for the sale of the following freehold property: … Lot 2: The full-licensed free public house or inn, in which they were then met, and occupied by Mr. J. Easterbroook, together with a dwelling house and shop, occupied by Mr. Burge, and two tenements, brew house, cellar-yard, and stables in the rear, at a gross rental of £47. This lot, after a spirited contest, was knocked down to Mr. Pinsent, spirit merchant for £1,450.
