Hackneys: The entries were not numerically strong in the hackney class, although individual exhibits came in for warm praise at the judge’s hands. The class for hackney mares and foals, or in foal was a blank. There was only one entry in Class 15 for hackney mares or geldings, foaled before 1905, and the judge awarded first prize to a useful mare, the property of Mr. W. S. Pinsent of Newton Abbot.
