Chartered Surveyors: Spring Meeting of the Devon and Cornwall Branch: The Devon and Cornwall branch of the Surveyors’ Institution at its spring meeting at Plymouth nominated Mr. J. F. Bowden, F.S.I, (Exeter) as a member for inclusion in the ballot for the council of the institution. Mr. F. G. Fleury, P.A.S.I., holder of the special rating diploma of the institution who has recently come from London to Plymouth, read an interesting paper on “The Rating and Valuation Act, 1925, in Practice;” and was thanked on the proposition of the branch chairman, Mr. C. Lee Wright (Exeter) seconded by Mr. F. W. H. Pinsent (Plymouth). …
