Totnes Weekly Times: Saturday 3rd August 1901

Totnes v. Devon County Asylum: At Totnes on Thursday, in fine weather. The home team went to the wickets first, but Pinsent was quickly dismissed, being clean bowled by Dr. Davis before he had scored. … The Asylum made a very poor stand against the bowling of Tucker and Pinsent, each of whom captured four wickets cheaply, whilst Berry took two wickets for two runs. … Dr. Davis in the last two balls of the Totnes innings obtained two wickets, and curiously enough Pinsent took two of the visitor’s wickets with the last two balls of the game: Scores: Totnes: 118 all out (R. M. Pinsent, b. Dr. Davis 0); Devon County Asylum: 49 (R. M. Pinsent, one catch and four wickets).
