Albion Reserves v. Totnes: Totnes are to be congratulated on the stand they made against this season’s unbeaten Albionites on Saturday … … (description of game) … After an Albionite had been grassed at the centre, Kingsman and Searle tried to clear, but failed. Pinsent however, by a smart kick, sent the ball to touch in Albion territory, and getting out from the scrum Marley kicked well up, this effort being splendidly backed up by Pinsent. Totnes gradually worked up and things were looking rosy for the homesters, when the visitors rushed back to the centre, where Albion kicked away from the scrum for Pinsent to mark. Bassett put in a useful run, but Sturt did not gather, and then Albion, however, forced the pace. Marshall made an attempt to score, and Pinsent was hard pressed, but got the leather out under difficulties, Knott heeding a short rush. … … Some amusement was caused by the Albion quarters not hearing the referee’s whistle, and carrying on a passing bout whilst a scrum was waiting. Pinsent marked and play came to the centre, Shannon putting in a big kick which Pinsent was only able to return to touch close to his own line … …
