Wedding at Upton Vale: A pretty wedding took place at Upton Vale Baptist Chapel on Monday, the contracting parties being Mr. F. J. Rodgers of Kierton and Miss Minnie E. Bridgman, only child of Mr. John S. Bridgman, Daisy Bank, Cockington. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very pretty in a dress of white silk, trimmed with pearl embroidery and chiffon, white tulle veil and orange blossoms. She carried a handsome shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Minnie Pinsent, of Bovey Tracey, cousin of the bride, and Misses Alice and Flossie Rodgers, sisters of the bridegroom, who wore cream dresses trimmed white chiffon, and old rose sashes, with large picture hats to match and gold brooches and horseshoe pin, the gift of the bridegroom … …
