Hailsham Harriers: The meet on Saturday of the Hailsham Harriers was at the Royal Oak, Pevensey, when there were present Miss Battenham, Mrs. H. A. Bryden, Miss P. O. ‘Brien Harding, Mrs. Kenneth Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Pynsent, Miss Warlow, Miss Wills, Mr. Norman Innes, Mr. Blunt, Captain Bailey, Captain Wetherell, Mr. W. Elphick, Mr. T. Hanmer, Mr. E. Martin, Mr. C. Self, Mr. S. Squires, Mr. R. Vine, Mr. and Mrs. Mundy, Mr. E. Knight, and others. The hard that was found just above Pevensey Bridge made for the diggings gardens over the Warlting road to the Old Haven and Doe’s Corner, Turning, she went to Lord Ashburnham’s pound, on to Russell’s, in the Marsh, getting to Chilly, and the run ended after a run of two hours by the hare getting to ground.
