Very successful was the first of the “Laughter and Song” services of War Emergency Entertainments held at Claridge’s on the afternoon of Friday March 5. A large audience assembled, which fact clearly shows that light entertainments are welcome … (list of performers) … others who gave great satisfaction by their contributions were … Miss Phyllis Pinsent (dancer) … (also) … particular mention must be made … of the artistic dancing of pretty Miss Phyllis Pinsent, who charmed her audience with the “Spring Song” and a characteristic Russian dance, and the witty songs and character impersonations of Miss Phyllis Bateman.
