Uplowman Entertainments: Following the custom of a good many years, Miss Chave again organized entertainments for the benefit of church funds. They were held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. DEVON AND CORNWALL SURVEYORS: At the annual meeting of the Devon and Cornwall Branch of the Surveyors’ Institution at the Rougemont Hotel, Exeter. Mr. J. H. F. Foster (Exmouth) was elected chairman for the ensuing year, with Mr. F. W. H. Pinsent (Plymouth) as vice-chairman. It was decided that the Spring meeting should be held at Exeter, and that invitations be extended to the President and Secretary of the Institution. Mr. J. G.
