… yesterday, Thomas Keeton, 318 Dudley Road, was summoned for embezzling 19s 6d on or about November 20th 1907; 9s on April 24, 1908 and £1 8s on August 28th last, the money of Messrs. John Feeney and others, newspaper proprietors, 38, New Street. Defendant was also summoned for making false entries in a workbook on May 22 and June 2, 1908, with intent to defraud. Birmingham and Midland Institute: The report for 1893 of the committee of the archaeological section of the Midland Institute shows … (details) … also … Death of Mr. T. Siviter Smith: We regret to record the death of Mr. Thomas Siviter Smith, who for many years had practised in the city as a solicitor. The deceased, who was 55 years of age, was a member of the well-known firm of Messrs. Barwell, Smith and Pinsent of Waterloo Street. Some 12 months ago the deceased gentleman suffered from a serious illness. But he recovered and his death yesterday at his residence 265 Hagley Road, occurred very unexpectedly.

William Edward Wiley, deceased: Pursuant to the Statute 22 and 23 Vic. Cap. 35, Notice is hereby given that all persons having any claims against the estate of William Edwards Wiley, late of Birches Green, Erdington in the county of Warwick gentleman (who died on the 15th day of November 1893 and whose will and codicil were proved at the Birmingham District Registry of the Probate Division of Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice, on the 15th day of December 1893, by Hugh Gardner Hill and Emma Belinda Wiley, two of the executors therein named) are hereby required to send written particulars of such claims to the undersigned solicitors for the said executors of the deceased, on or before the 31st day of January 1894, after which date the said executors will distribute the assets of the deceased, having regard only to the claims of which they shall have then received notice.
