Bintry: The funeral of Mrs. L. A. Rackham, widow of the late Rev. R. R. Rackham, for 25 years rector of this parish, took place on Tuesday, officiating clergy were the rector (Rev. J. H. Hewetson) and the Rev. M. Bower (rector of Bawdeswell, in which parish the deceased had been living. The principal mourners were Lady Pinsent (daughter), Mr. Frank Pinsent (grandson), Mrs. C. Hamond (Twyford Hall), Captain F. R. Thackeray (Yarrow House), Mr. W. J. Stone (Yarrow Cottage), Mr. J. Hall (Bintry), Mr. and Mrs. R. J. W. Purdy (Foulsham), Mr. and Mrs. Watson (Bintryj, Mrs. B. Dack and Mrs. Morris (Foulsham). Beautiful wreaths and crosses were sent Emily H. Pinsent, Frank, Mrs. H. W. Purdy, Mrs. S. J. Woodhouse and family, Mrs. C. A. Hamond, Gussie, and Rebecca.

Foulsham: Sale of Work:  The people of Foulsham are determined that their late rector, the Rev. C. H. Frost, shall not fade from their memory, and they avail themselves of every means for increasing the memorial fund. This memorial is to take the form of a club and reading room for the young men of the parish, whose welfare and moral training the late rector had very much at heart … … the sale commenced at three-o’clock and from that time until the hours of closing, 9.15, there was a capital company of buyers and spectators, and at no time during the day were the stall holders idle. Among the visitors were Lady and Miss Pinsent, Mr. and Mrs. C. Hamond, Mrs. W. Morris, Mrs. Wayman, Rev. and Mrs. Spurgeon, etc … …

Accidents and Offences: Forgery by a Boy: At the Devonport Guildhall, on Saturday, William Lucas, an errand boy in the employ of Mr. Boolds, upholsterer, etc. was committed for trial, for having forged the names of “John Elliott,” grocer, of Devonport, to a bill for £40 drawn by Messrs. Stillwell and Co., navy agents, in favour of Daniel W Stephens, Esq., surgeon of Her Majesty’s ship “Basilisk”, one of the Baltic fleet. He cashed the bill at the shop of Messrs. Pinsent and Co.
