Cheltenham Chronicle: Saturday 31st March 1923

Winchcombe St. Peter’s Cricket Club: There were about thirty members present at the annual meeting of the above club held at the White Hart Hotel, Winchcombe, on Wednesday night, the Rev. J. Pinsent (treasurer) being in the chair.  That gentleman read the balance sheet, which showed an adverse balance of – £1 12s 4d on the last season’s working, but he explained that this was not so bad considering it was their first season. The next matter on the agenda was the election of a secretary and Mr. S. Fisher was elected unopposed. Mr. P. Major was also re-elected captain, while Mr. L. Holmes was appointed vice-captain. The Rev. J. Pinsent resigned his position as treasurer, saying he was leaving the town. Regrets were expressed at this intimation. Mr. Donald Agg was elected to fill the position. The committee was made up as follows: — Captain, vice-captain, secretary, treasurer, and Sir. W. J. Turner. The Rev. J. Pinsent kindly offered to make up half the adverse balance. At a committee meeting which followed it was decided to hold a whist drive in the near future so as to commence this year with a clean sheet.
