Highland Scot Canning Company – A Disastrous Report: The ordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above company was held yesterday at 17 Throgmorton Avenue, London. Mr. R. J. Neild occupied the chair, and on our reporter presenting himself for admission he was refused admittance by the secretary, who stated that the company was a private concern, and not in any way a public company. … … The report of the directors for the year ended August 31, 1892 showed a balance at the debit of profit and loss account on August 1892 of £154,439 1s 9d.
