Bovey 2nd. V. Moretonhampstead: At Bovey Tracey. A well-contested game resulted in a tie, each side obtaining 100 runs. For the home side Pinsent obtained 34 runs, Stevens 40 runs, and Waldron 19. For Moretonhampstead, Dr. Middlemist made 32 and Wills 26.

Cricket: I am indebted to some of the members for the following interesting description of the game between White Chatton & Co. and Bovey 2nd XI, on the ground of the latter, on Saturday: … The score stood at 15 for 3 when the partnership commenced, and they had carried it to 53 when Graham was caught at point off Pinsent for a fairly played 23. … With a total of 70 against them Bovey went in … The innings closed at 50, leaving White, Chatton Co. Victors by 20 runs.

Horse Jumping & Driving at Newton Abbot: Yesterday, in connection with the Newton Abbot Dog Show, horse jumping and driving competitions took place at the Recreation Ground, in the presence of a large number of spectators. Mr. W. Ball acted as chairman of the Committee, and Mr. Shilston as hon. secretary. The judges were Messrs. R. Vicary and J. J. Pinn:  Results: Jumping, for horses over 15 h.h.:  1, J.
