Fashionable Marriages: Pinsent – Le Bas: Aurum Lilies and Palms were artistically arranged in decoration of the Roman Catholic church of St. James, Spanish Place, on Sept.11, for the occasion of the marriage of Mr. S. H. Pinsent, son of Mr. Ross Pinsent, with Miss Beatrice Elena Le Bas, daughter of Mr. Diego Olavarro Le Base, of Rosarro de Sante Fe., Argentine Republic. Canon Gildea performed the rites. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely robe of ivory satin, the draped folds being caught up with pearl and crystal ornaments made to resemble a bee. Exquisite old point Brussels lace was draped over the shoulders and fastened at the right side of the skirt, whilst the train of ivory brocade was lined with chiffon and trimmed down one side with crystal and silver embroidery hem bordered with silver –.  A veil of Brussels nwr with embroidered hem was arranged over a coronal of orange blossom and white heather and a bouquet of roses, heather, and lilies of the valley was carried. … continues includes sketches of the various gowns … The bridegroom’s gifts to them (bridesmaids) were opal and blue enamel pendants. Mrs. Le Bas held a reception at the Wharncliffe Rooms, Hotel Great Central, before Mr. and Mrs. S. H.
