The Boiler Explosion in Birmingham: The Inquest: Yesterday afternoon an inquest was held by Mr. Hawkes, coroner, at his Court, Moor Street, upon the bodies of the three men, Wm. Mews, Henry Denston, and Francis George Wilkins, who were killed by the explosion of a boiler at the Stephenson Tube Works, Liverpool Street. Mr. Hugo Young (instructed by Messrs. Saunders, Smith, and Parish) watched the proceedings on behalf of Mr. Wm. Edward Everitt, of Bromsgrove, the owner of the tube works, and who also trades as Allen, Everitt and Sons, at the Kingston Metal Works. Mr. Pinsent represented Mr. Mosedale, the chief engineer at the works …

Legal Honours: The gold medal prize of the Birmingham Law Society for the year 1873 has been, this week, awarded and presented to Mr. Richards Alfred Pinsent, who served his clerkship with Messrs. James and Oerton of this town. The examiners having certified to the Council of the Incorporated Law Society (London) that of the candidates for admission from Birmingham, in the year 1873, Mr. Pinsent passed the best examination, and was, in the opinion of the examiners, entitled to honorary distinction. Mr. Pinsent also received one of the prizes of the Incorporated Law Society on his admission in Easter Term, 1873.

Mr. Pinsent served his clerkship with Messrs James and Oerton, of Birmingham and Messrs. Church and Clarke, of London, and obtained a prize in Easter Term, 1873.
