New Local Company: The formation is announced as a limited liability company, W. and T. Avery, Birmingham. The capital is £200,0000 in £10 shares, and the objects are to purchase and acquire the business of weighing-machine manufacturers, carried on by W. B. Avery and H. J. Avery, under the style of W. and T. Avery, at Digbeth, Birmingham; and also to carry on the business of engineers, machinists, brass and iron founders, &c. The first subscribers are: Messrs. W. B. and H. J. Avery, Digbeth; R. A. Pinsent and H. C. Pinsent, Birmingham, solicitors; W. H. Brothers, Edgbaston, R. R. Gibbs, Solihull; and H. K. Bather, Salop. The qualification for directorship is; £500. The first directors are Messrs. W. B. and H. J. Avery, who receive a salary of £900 per annum.
