Students Orchestral Concert at the Hampstead Conservatoire: A very successful concert was given last Tuesday evening by the students of the above, and a large audience was present to hear the results of the term’s work. … Pianoforte solos by Miss Maud Pinsent and Miss Lilian Mackenzie (pupils of Madame Fischer-Sobell) were greatly appreciated, and a ‘cello solo by Miss Mary Bridson (pupil of Mr. Herbert Walenn) displayed his young lady’s talent to much advantage.

Choral Competitions: At the Choral competitions of the Social Institutes Union held last week in London, Miss Pinsent’s Choir carried off the cup with 93% marks and heading by 10 marks. Aylesbury and District: … Miss Pinsent’s Singing Class: At a competition held in London last week, Miss Pinsent’s Singing Class gained the cup for singing 3-part unaccompanied glees, with full marks (100). The chief adjudicator remarked that he would have to exhaust his vocabulary of adjectives to describe the excellence and perfection of their performance. In the duets and solos competitions, Miss Pinsent’s pupils came out second (in duets) and third (in solos) and gained two 1st class certificates (over 90 marks) and three 2nd class certificates (over 80 marks).
