Oxford Street Adult School: On Sunday morning a musical programme was carried through, the collection going towards the Wycliffe Homes for the Blind. The chairman of the institution, Mr. E. Crew presided. Miss Doris Pinsent gave two recitals and Madame F. Earl Cairncross and Mr. T. Hanson rendered songs. The accompanist was Leicester’s blind pianist, Mr. Hy. Photography: It is the annual custom of the Leicester Photographic Society to forget for one night that it is composed of selfish photographers who shut themselves in stuffy dark rooms to devote its energies to entertaining the ladies at the Oriental Café.
