Cannock Light Railway: Advantages to South Staffordshire: Commission Grant a New order: A Light Railway Commission, comprising the Hon. A. E. Gathorne-Hardy (chairman), Colonel G. F. O. Boughey, R.E., C.S.I, and Mr. Henry Allan Steward, sat in the Wolverhampton Council Chamber on Wednesday to hear an application by the London and North Western Railway Company for an Order transferring to the company certain powers which had been conferred upon a company called the Wolverhampton and Cannock Chase Railway Company by Acts of Parliament 1901-1903, and Light Railway Orders 1906-1910. Mr. G. J. Talbot, K.C., represented the London and North-Western Railway Company, Mr. A. W. Carver, the Cannock Rural District Council: Mr. Herbert Taylor, Mr. W. H. Fowley; Mr. G. L. Pepler, Sir Richard Paget, Mr. G. D. Elliott, the Ashmore Park Colliery Company; Mr. Horatio Brevitt, the Corporation of Wolverhampton; Mr. R. H. Pinsent (sic) the Holly Bank Colliery Company.
