Gronno; VI: In the preceding articles we have proved that there are practically no grounds for the statements made by suffragists as to the wrongs of women and the injustices to which they are subjected owing to the state of “slavery” in which they are now supposed to be kept by men. We will now briefly examine the second set of assertions made by speakers and writers who advocate “votes for women.” We are told that men do not understand or care for women’s interests, and that, as a result, they have blundered along and made a muddle of everything … … (continues) … … All Governments of this country have shown themselves not only willing but eager to consult women, and obtain their evidence, opinions and suggestions, by means of Royal Commissions and in other ways, where the welfare of women and children is concerned.
