He was the son of the late Judge Pinsent, of Labrador, and was born in 1834. He was called to the Bar of Newfoundland in 1856, became Q. C. in 1865. and Solicitor- General in 1873. He was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court in 1880, when he received the honour of knighthood….
