Sanitary Matters: The Sanitary Committee recommended that the Clerk be instructed to take the necessary steps to obtain closing orders in respect of No. 1 house 11 Court, East Street, and No. 10, 10 Court, Wolborough Street under the Housing of the Working Classes Act, 1890. The Medical Officer having reported the erection of a certain building at 50 Osborne Street, without the approval of the Council the committee recommended that the owner of the said premises be called upon to remove the same. The Committee had examined the following plans, viz. (1) a plan from Mr. W. S. Pinsent for addition to the Fox Inn; (2) A plan from Mr. G. Hicks for converting a stable and store at the back of Knowles Terrace into a workshop …
