Mrs. Pinsent gifted and presented prizes, and also cut the birthday cake. Songs were given by Miss Young and Miss Shand. Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Anderson. Miss Gauld and Miss Spruce were tea hostesses.

Glass has Sale Success: A successful cake and candy sale was held by Glass W.R.I., Mrs. Pinsent, Edinglassie Lodge, presided and in the unavoidable absence of Miss Ross, St Ann’s, Huntly, opened the sale. Before doing so, Mrs. Pinsent made sympathetic reference to the death of Mrs. Cassie, who was a most enthusiastic member. Mrs. Duncan thanked Mrs. Pinsent for the valuable help she at all times gave the Institute. The stallholders were: — Candy, Mrs. Shand and Mrs. Leith; cake, Mrs. Thomson, and Mrs. Fraser; dairy, Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Burgess; jumble; Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Watt; tea — Mrs. Mackie and Mrs. McBain; bran dips; Mrs. Pinsent. Winners of competitions were Mrs. Pinsent and Miss Brander. The drawings amounted to £21 14s 9d.

Glass at Garden Party: The members Glass W.R.I. were entertained to a garden party at Edinglassie Lodge by their president, Mrs. Pinsent. An enjoyable afternoon was spent, treasure hunting in the gardens and in guessing competitions. After tea the company was treated to a cinema show by Mr. Pinsent. Prizes were given by the hostess for the various competitions and were presented by Master Ewen Pinsent. Mr. and Mrs. Pinsent were warmly thanked for their kindness by Mrs. Duncan, vice-president. Prizewinners were: — Miss Spruce, Miss Robson, Mrs. Leith, Miss Gauld, Miss Brander, Mrs. Robertson, and Mrs. Anderson.

Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Robertson, and Miss Horne were hostesses. Recitations were given by Miss Janet Burgess.
