Chudleigh Carnival: A Great Success: … As last year the four institutions to be benefited are the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Chudleigh Nursing Association, Newton Cancer Treatment Fund, and the West of England Eye Infirmary. The day’s proceedings opened with the despatch of No. 1 organ to Newton, Kingsteignton, Ideford, and Luton; the motor lorry being kindly lent by the Devon Gas Association, those assisting being A J. Page, W. J. Elson, W. Pinsent, P. Heathman, W. Bowden, J. Price, junr., and J. Price, driver. No. 2 organ started later for Chudleigh-Knighton, Heathfield, Hennock, Tap Village, and Trusham, the motor lorry being kindly lent by Mr. W. F. Pearce, those assisting being A. J. Bowden, A. F.
