Hockey: Kent v Sussex: Kent and Sussex played a drawn game at Tulse Hill Wednesday, each side having scored four goals. Kent had the better of the play during the first half. Goals were scored for them by W. V. Smith and H. P. Maybury, and Major Pinsent scored for Sussex. Directly after crossing over, Maybury put Kent further ahead, but Major Pinsent and J. M. Matthew then hit goals for Sussex and brought the scores level. Ten minutes before time Maybury again gave Kent the lead, but before the close E. A. Castle equalised for Sussex. The Sussex team was—R. Higgins (St. Leonards), goal; G. R. M. Gray (Worthing) and Lieut. Pearce (Maresfield Camp), backs; E. Bates (Worthing), L. H. P. Grav (Worthing). and H. C. L. Perkins (St. Leonards), half-backs; L. M. Thomas (Worthing). Major Pinsent (Maresfield Camp). J. K. Matthew (Worthing). B. L. Farnell (Brighton), and E. A. Castle (East Grinstead), forwards.
