Amersham Hall School: The scholarship of £60 per annum at St. John’s College, Cambridge, awarded on the result of the University Local Examination to the senior candidate who displays the greatest proficiency in mathematics, had been offered to and accepted by Mr. Hume C. Pinsent, of Amersham Hall School. Mr. Pinsent was placed in the first division of honours in the general list, and also obtained distinctions in religious knowledge and English. At the same examination seven seniors and eleven juniors passed from this school, nine of whom were placed in the honours’ classes, sharing among them ten special certificates of honour.
