Amersham Hall School, Near Reading: The Scholarship of 60 £. Per. annum St. John’s College, Cambridge, awarded on the result of the University Local Examination to the senior candidate who displays the greatest proficiency in mathematics, has been offered to, and accepted by, Mr. Hume C. Pincent, of Amersham Hall School. Mr. Pincent was placed in the first division of honours in the general list, and also obtained distinctions in religious knowledge and English. At the same examination seven seniors and eleven juniors passed from this school, nine of whom were placed honours’ classes, sharing amongst them ten special certificates of honour.
