London Daily Chronicle: 2nd February 1911

Success of Kent Hockey Side: The Kent hockey team scored three goals to nil during the first half of the match with Hampshire at Southampton yesterday and won by 5-2. J. Pinsent, W. Faulder-Smith and C. R. Satterthwaite shote Kent’s goals in the first half. After the change of ends, Dell and W. R. Gunner scored for Hampshire and Pinsent and Satterthwaite were responsible for the remaining goals for the visitors. The latter won through the superiorities of their forwards combination. For the most part Hampshire adopted “hit and rush” tactics.
