Lichfield Mercury: Friday 8th May 1903

On Tuesday last Messrs. Winterton and Sons offered for sale at the George Hotel, Walsall, a residential estate of 46 acres, with the mansion and grounds, known as “Longford,” and situated about 1 mile from Cannock. It failed to find a purchaser and was withdrawn at £3, 900, and is now for sale by private treaty. Four acres and three cottages at Great Wyrley, sold for £650. Messrs. Pinsent and Co., Birmingham were the vendor’s solicitors.
