Dog Handicap At the Peacock Grounds, Belgrave Road: A 200 Yards Dog Handicap, promoted by Mr. C. Painter, was begun and finished at these grounds on Saturday, when there was a moderate attendance. The entries numbered 40, but nearly half failed to put in an appearance: Return: First Round, First Heat: …Tenth Heat: Pincent’s Turpin, 16 lb, 49, 1; Thorne’s Nettle, 15 ¾, 49, 2; Second Round: First Heat: Brown’s Bob, 1; Beacon’s Nell, 2; Watt’s Luce, 3; Second Heat: Brierley’s, Judy, 1; Taylor’s Violet, 2; Cross’s Liz, 3; Third Heat: Pincent’s Turpin, 1; Percival’s Nell, 2; Guest’s Fly, 3: Final Heat: Judy, 1; Turpin 2, Bob, 3; won by a yard, half a yard dividing second and third.
