Y.M.C.A. Puzzled: Last season I commented upon the narrowness of the playing piece at Hinckley, and on Saturday last the Y.M.C.A. Club found the limited bounds entirely antagonistic to the long game which they played with such good results at Canal Street. Certainly, they quietened down a bit as the game proceeded, but then Hinckley had two goals to count before that time. An unfortunate accident to Pinsent, the Y.M. centre-forward, considerably retarded his side’s chance of victory. Fairfield reappeared and played a good game, and although Hinckley were the superior side on the day’s play, four goals to one is certainly no score on which to base the amount of that superiority.
