In consequence of the promotion of Mr. G. H. S. Pinsent, of the Treasury, the Chancellor of the Exchequer has appointed Mr. R. P. M. Gower, of the Treasury, to be his first private secretary, and Mr. T. K. Bewley, of the Treasury, to be his second private secretary, in succession to Mr. Gower.
