130 Yards Handicap at the BlackHorse Grounds: On Saturday afternoon the preliminary heats of Mr. S. Brierley’s £12 10s 130 Yards All-England Handicap came off on these grounds. There were fifty- three entries classified into thirteen heats, but only thirty-four sprinters came to the post and the results was that three out of the thirteen heats resulted in walks over. … Second Heat: T. Atkins, 26, 1; G. Pincent, 25, 2; M. Travers, 21, 3; won by a yard and a half. … The finals will be decided next Saturday.
