Those marked x are retiring guardians … Sherfield English: One Guardian: Mr. John Pinsent (marked by clerk as an invalid nomination, no parish stated) It will thus be seen that there will be no opposition except in the two Romsey parishes. In the parish of Sherfield English, Mr. Charles Mills (who has sat for the parish for nearly 30 years, it is stated), is recently dead, and the nomination of Mr. Pinsent being invalid, there will have to be as special election or the parish will not have representative for the year.
