Devon Quarter Session: The criminal business of the above Sessions and the hearing of appeals commended to-day at the Castle of Exeter. The Right Hon. The Earl of Devon presided in the Crown Court, and there were also on the Bench Mr. W. H. Halliday, M.R.E. Gill and Mr. W. E. Matthews. The following were empanelled as the Grand Jury: … (list of 21 people including) … William Pinsent, Highweek; … The Chairman, in charging the Grand Jury, said he had pleasure in informing them that the cases which would be submitted to them would be somewhat less in number than those presented at a similar period of last year …
