Taunton: Poultry Show: The first annual Poultry, Pidgeon, Cat, and Cage Bird show in connection with the newly formed society at Taunton was held yesterday in the Victoria Rooms and Corn Exchange, Taunton. There were about a thousand entries, and most of the principal fanciers in the kingdom were represented. Among the local prize takers were: Dorkings, coloured cock, 1; W. S Pinsent, Newton; Coloured hen, 1, W. S. Pinsent …  (continues) … A cup, value £3 3s for the best pen in the poultry classes – W. S. Pinsent, Highweek, Newton.
