Newton Football Club Dinner: Mr. H. Knight presided at a convivial gathering last night of the members of the Newton Abbot Football Club. A short toast list was gone through: The Chairman presented caps to Messrs. C. Hooper, H. Frost, C. White, A. Curtis, W. Beer, T. Bradbury, W. Ford, E. Elliott, A. Bowden, J. Hore and W. Hobbs, members of last season’s team, who did not receive caps when the last ones were given away two years ago. … Messrs. R. Harvey, W. H. Pinsent, A. W. Dixon, W. Hobbs, H. Lang, and others provided an excellent entertainment.
