Exeter Home Team v Blundell’s 2nd XI: This match was played at Tiverton yesterday and ended in a win for the visitors by one run, with seven wickets in hand. Play had to be stopped at 4 o’clock owing to the rain and, when a resumption was made shortly after 6 o’clock, a fresh pitch had to be resorted to. Pett bowled well for the visitors, taking seven wickets for 17 runs: Scores: Blundell’s 2nd XI: 35 all out (R. M. Pinsent, b. Pett 0): Exeter Home Team: 35 for 4 wickets.
