Newton v. Crediton: At Newton on Saturday: Crediton, who arrived with two men short, were somewhat easily defeated by the home team by five tries. The visitors seemed scarcely to have settled down into working order, and were out-played from start to finish, both forward and back. Pictor scored two tries for Newton, and Sellicks, Kay, and Elwell one each. The first and fifth were the result of good play on the part of the forwards, and the remaining three were made by excellent passing by the outside men, notably Elwell, Pearse, and Pictor. Pinsent at back was in excellent form for Newton.
