Newton Abbot Board of Guardians: The first meeting of the newly elected board was held on Wednesday, when there was a large attendance. The Clerk (M. J. Alsop) took the chair at eleven o’clock, and read the names of the members of the new Board as follows: … (includes) … Bovey Tracey, H. Pinsent, W. Mann, W. Wreyford; … Kingsteington, F. H. Plumtre, G. Pinsent; … The school Attendance Committee was elected as follows: … (includes) … H. Pinsent (Bovey Tracey), and the Rev. T. Hale (Ilsington). The two last named, are new members, and fill the vacancies created by the death of Mr. Buller, of Bovey, and the retirement of Mr. Ellis of Chudleigh.
