Coming of Age of Mr. W. G. Hole of Bovey Tracey: Everybody spent a happy time at Bovey Trace on Thursday. The beautiful grounds of Parke, where Mr. W. R. Hole resides were thrown open from four o’clock until 6.30. It was to celebrate the coming of age of his only son, William Gerald Hole; which auspicious event took place on May 2nd … Two presentations were made to the young gentleman. One was made by M. J. Mann on behalf of the tenantry of Mr. W. R. Hole. It was a handsome silver loving cup on an ebony pedestal. On it was the following inscription: “Presented to William Gerald Hole, Esq., by the tenants of Parke estate, on attaining his majority on May 2nd, 1902.” The tenants were … (list includes) … H.
