Parish Charities: The Charity Commissioners wrote giving notice that an order was proposed to be made within a month appointing trustees of the charity of Mrs. Hannah Maria Bearne for a Protestant dissenting minister at Newton the parish of Wolborough, and for schools in Highweek and Wolborough. The following had been proposed for appointment: – J. H.  Bearne, Sandhurst, Forde Park; J, Alsop, jun.; and W. S. Pinsent, Rose Hill: Mr. Pascoe: What benefit does the parish derive from the charity? The Clerk: You can send your children to the school and attend the chapel. Returning thanks: Mr. C. G. Vicary thanked the members for electing him vice-chairman the previous meeting, and expressed the hope that he would not be called upon to carry out the duties … Allotments …
