Diggory Pinsent appears to have been the only surviving son of John Pinsent of Ley Farm in Bere Ferrers. Presumably he stayed on there after his father died in 1654. Diggory married Margaret Hawkins two years later and they had a son, John, two years after that. The boy was left a bequest of £5 when his uncle Hugh Pinsent died in 1660. Sadly, John seems to have died in 1662.
Diggory’s wife, Margaret, died in Bere Ferrers in 1672 and Diggory married Mary Hilman in Exeter a few months later. They do not appear to have had any male heirs. I do not know when the died.
