Birmingham Soldiers’ Memorial: To be Unveiled Next Spring: A meeting of the sub-committee of the Birmingham Soldiers’ Memorial Fund was held at the “Daily Mail” office this afternoon, Mr. Whitworth Wallis in the chair. … (delays discussed) … Mr. Cox, the secretary of the Bath and Parks Department, wrote that the whole of the foundation work for the Soldiers’ Memorial in Cannon Hill Park was completed early in the year, and everything was now ready to receive the memorial when delivered. The Hon. Treasurer read the agreement between the Committee and Mr. Toft for the completion of the memorial, which had been drawn up by Messrs. Pinsent and Co., solicitors, and was approved.
